Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Best Western Montreal was a blend of tranquility and convenience. Despite the initial impression of an aging hotel, the central location near McGill University offered easy access to downtown attractions. The staff, with a mix of friendliness and arrogance, provided a balance in service quality. The hotel's spa services offered a much-needed rejuvenation after long days exploring Montreal. The windowless fitness center had a variety of equipment, allowing for a decent workout session, while the indoor swimming pool provided a refreshing dip. The personalized attention from the professional staff, especially from Valet Mike, who arranged a special visit to a Montreal Canadiens practice, added a delightful touch to our experience. The conference space and meeting room were well-equipped for business needs, and the fitness classes offered a chance to unwind and stay active. While the hotel may benefit from some refurbishment, the overall experience was satisfactory for a short stay in Montreal. If you value a central location and convenience, Best Western provides a decent option for your visit.
